Our Clinicians

Angela haugo, D.O.
Dynamic Roots wellness

I have practiced as a family medicine doctor for over a decade. Initially, I worked in a clinic downtown Spokane and then moved to Stevensville in 2011 to be closer to my hometown of Missoula. In 2017 started my own business as a wellness coach to intensively help people find their unique path to improved health. I am so excited to have this opportunity to combine traditional family practice with a strong emphasis on building a lasting foundation of wellness.

I want to honor the legacy of Alexis Wagner in her dedicated practice. One theme patients expressed in her care was “She really listened to me.” Alexis saw the person before the “patient.” I strive to practice with compassion. There is so much potential in each and every one of us. We tend suppress the strengths we possess. We tend to feed into false beliefs about our limitations. We can fear our own beautiful truth. It’s time to shake the house, see the false parts crumble, and rebuild the steadfast home of body, mind and spirit.

I am happy to be your family practice doctor and I want to be a guide to your best health. I love to see people of all ages including newborn and pediatrics. Through this practice, we offer annual exams, urgent care, chronic condition management (hypertension, diabetes, arthritis, etc), minor skin procedures and much more.

Sharon Demorest

“LET FOOD BE THY MEDICINE” — Hippocrates

Sharon Demorest is a board certified Holistic Health Practitioner, Integrative Nutritionist, and Natural Food Chef.  Her practice began 35 years ago cooking for personal clients with high nutritional standards with the intention to limit the need of over the counter and/or prescription medications. This successful overall health enlightenment includes gut health of all kinds, brain & mind dysfunctions, heart disease, diabetes, weight management, energy issues, arthritis and many other health aspects!

Her proof that food does matter to one's health, took her profession to another level which was to understand how the gut microbiome has an enormous connection to overall health, including changing our DNA expression (formerly thought as “the card we were dealt with out options”).  This body-mind connection is her passion and her tenacity keeps her honed into the latest studies and knowledge to find personalized solutions that enable the body to heal itself!  Contact Sharon you want to take control of your health and are hungry for a change.

Evan Gimpel, LCPC Leaning tree counseling

I never set out to become a therapist—but life had other plans. More than twenty years ago, I found my way into counseling through wilderness therapy, where I witnessed people create real, lasting change. That experience stayed with me and continues to shape how I show up in this work.

Since then, I’ve worked across a wide range of settings, including wilderness programs, community mental health, schools, in-home counseling, and leadership roles such as heading the mental health program at Trapper Creek Job Corps and serving as Director of Behavioral Health at Sapphire Community. I’ve also had the privilege of supervising and mentoring many other therapists along the way.

People come to therapy for many reasons. You might feel stuck, overwhelmed, or simply have a sense that life could feel better than it does right now. Maybe you’re navigating a major transition, struggling in relationships, or quietly wondering, “How did I get here?”

In therapy with me, you’ll find a space that’s genuine, compassionate, and even enjoyable! Counseling looks different for everyone, and together we’ll figure out what works best for you. In my private practice, I use evidence-based approaches to help calm the mind and body, shift unhelpful thought patterns, and move toward the life you want to live. I work with individuals ages 13 and up, with particular focus on trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship concerns.

Therapy doesn’t have to be stiff or intimidating—it can be effective, human, and meaningful. If finding the right fit matters to you (and it should), let’s connect and see if we’re a good match

Melinda Ward, LCSW

I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported. At Melinda Ward Counseling, I work with children, teens, and adults ages 8 and up, offering both in-person and telehealth therapy to make counseling fit more easily into your life.

I’ve been working in the mental health field for more than 20 years, and throughout that time I’ve had the privilege of working with people in schools, trade schools, psychiatric settings, group homes, community health centers, therapeutic riding programs, and private practice. These experiences have taught me that every person is different, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy.

My goal is to meet you where you are, listen without judgment, and work together to find approaches that are meaningful and useful in your everyday life. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused and Strengths-Based Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. With children and teens, I may also incorporate play, art, or music to help them express themselves in ways that feel natural. I also offer Christian faith-based counseling for clients who would like to include their faith in the therapeutic process.

Most importantly, I want therapy to be a place where you feel safe being yourself. Whether you are struggling with something right now, feeling stuck, or simply hoping for something to change, I would be honored to walk alongside you, help you recognize your strengths, and discover hope and possibilities for moving forward.
